History

- The Omega Dinner
- Held towards the end of February or the start of March, on the Society’s own anniversary — a dinner for the outgoing committee, subsidised for everyone attending.
Elected each Lent Term
Committee
The committee is elected at the AGM, held during Lent Full Term, by simple majority. Nominations go to the current committee with a manifesto attached, and any full member may stand.
Co-Chairs
Two, together forming the Chair — overall responsibility for the Society, and for the rest of the committee.
Secretary
Minutes committee meetings, keeps the member record, issues membership cards, and maintains the constitution.
Junior Treasurer
Keeps the accounts; the Senior Treasurer audits them and a summary goes to every AGM.
Speaker Liaison
Contacts speakers, organises talks, and makes sure they’re welcomed on the day.
Sponsorship Officer
Builds and maintains corporate sponsor relationships alongside the Chair and Junior Treasurer.
Publicity Officer
All advertising materials, email publicity, and student-press liaison; recruits College and year reps.
Webmaster
Maintains the website and the mailing list.
Events Officer
Conceives and organises the Society’s social events, on its own and jointly with other societies.
Stash Officer
Designs, sources and supplies stash, and runs its sale.
Filming and Streaming Officer
Sets up and streams every talk live, and makes the recording available afterwards.
Graduate Liaison
A postgraduate committee member, publicising CUPS among and representing fellow graduate students.
